LOB 25th anniversary
The Laboratory for Optics and Biosciences (LOB), founded in 2001 under the leadership of Jean-Louis Martin, celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 18 at École Polytechnique. To mark the occasion, dozens of former doctoral and postdoctoral students from the lab gathered for a lab tour and an afternoon of speeches, presentations, and surprise videos, followed by a pleasant evening by the lake.
A big thank you to all our board members for attending this event, featuring wonderful presentations by Laura Chaubard and Kees van der Beek on behalf of École Polytechnique, Franck Lethimonnier on behalf of Inserm et Saïda Guellati-Khelifa on behalf of CNRS Physique.
Current and former directors of LOB were presnet (Jean-Louis Martin, François Hache et Marie-Claire Schanne-Klein) –it was fascinating to hear how the laboratory was founded and flourished thanks to their leadership.
